EMRS has conducted exclusive polling for Font to find out Tasmania’s most important issues.
The polling was conducted between the 3rd and 10th of March and reveals that the elevation of Sarah Courtney to the health portfolio has paid off for the Government. In May last year – a month before Sarah Courtney became Health Minister – 48 per cent of Tasmanians said health was the issue they were most concerned about. As of last week, that figure has reduced to 31 per cent.
Health now joins unemployment (also at 31 per cent) as the equal top issue.
The polling was conducted before the Coronavirus issue escalated late last week. However, even then the Coronavirus was rated as the most important issue by nearly one in ten Tasmanians.
